I've Worked With

Entertainment
I’ve lived every angle of entertainment since 2008: behind the lens as a camera operator and production manager, Above-the-Line as a writer, director, and producer, and inside the industry as a songwriter, casting director, judge, film festival board member and more. From Emmy-award-winning television to Oscar-qualifying festivals, from songwriting to adapting novels for TV, I bring a lifetime of creative experience to every project.
Business
I partner with organizations and brands to craft campaigns and narratives that don’t just sell products, but shift and shape culture. My work spans major studios and indie projects, from promoting blockbuster films to consulting on campaigns that connect culture and commerce. Whether strategy, messaging, or execution, I help teams and businesses of all sizes move beyond noise and build stories people remember.
Social Impact
For me, story is significance. I’ve hosted radio and podcasts, led workshops, organized
community outreach, mentored emerging
creatives, and coached individuals to reclaim their voices. In this realm, I design spaces where people write, speak, and create their way into healing and impact. From classrooms to events to community labs, I build programs where the next generation of storytellers learn that they are not voiceless - they are vital.
A Black Man's Blues Volume 1: The Introduction is now available for
purchase!

A cross between creative nonfiction and cultural memoir, A Black Man's Blues is a book about masculinity, manhood, and the stories Black men carry but rarely speak aloud. Told from the lens of navigating the world without his father, Rashaad explores the complexities of a Black Man's lived experience in three parts: Essence, Absence and Presence.
"And yet, you shine anyway. Not because it’s easy. Not because it doesn’t hurt. But because somehow, somewhere inside you, the sun still rises. To hold the son is to teach him that his darkness is not a deficiency - it is his divine inheritance. When the world sees threat, you must see brilliance. When the world hands down statistics, you must speak significance. Because the light gets its power from contrast. It shines not in spite of the dark, but because of it. And the deeper the darkness, the more radiant the light." - Excerpt from A Black Man's Blues
Q&A with Business and Entertainment Legend Mr. Mathew Knowles
During a live Q&A at ‘The Wisdom of the Elder: A Conversation with Mathew Knowles & Chip Conley', my question on intergenerational
wisdom was selected and praised by Mathew Knowles, father of Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. His response highlighted the importance of mindset, passion-driven entrepreneurship, and thoughtful use of social media - themes all central to my work.
"As an elder who has shaped culture and legacy, what is one truth or gem that your generation may not have passed down to the next generations, that if lost, could cost us everything?"
